MASKS REQUIRED BY LAW AT INDOOR EVENTS, BUT IGNORED BY NPC PROMOTER & HILTON HOTEL MANAGEMENT
While the NPC Ty Pope Classic promoters are noting they have specific guidelines to protect the public they along with the venue the Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs plan to ignore the county executive order requiring businesses to enforced the indoor mask ordinance.
The promoters have stated masks won't be required on-stage at this NPC show on July 18th.
Upon contacting Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs (1-407-830-1985) on July 6 at 6:30pm to inquire if masks would be required for this event I was informed by the man who answered representing Hilton that even with the Seminole County ordinance they aren't requiring it and if asked by authorities they would plead ignorance. For a business as big as the Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs to have a policy of lying to county officials and NOT following the mandate designed to protect the public in Seminole County deserves the attention of Sheriff Dennis Lemma, the Orlando Sentinel and NPC News Online the sports federation operators doing this sort of sneaky reopening of their sport open to average citizens from teen to the very elderly under cover of willing accomplices while putting the public at risk.
